Mitä varusteita tarvitsen täydelliseen putoamissuojaukseen?

Täydellinen putoamissuojausjärjestelmä koostuu kolmesta pääkomponentista, joita kutsutaan usein ABC-säännöksi. Tarvitset ankkurointipisteen, johon järjestelmä kiinnitetään turvallisesti rakenteeseen. Toisena osana ovat kokovaljaat, jotka puetaan käyttäjän päälle ja tukevat kehoa putoamistilanteessa. Kolmas osa on liitosköysi tai tarrain, joka yhdistää valjaat ankkurointipisteeseen ja vaimentaa putoamisesta aiheutuvaa nykäisyvoimaa. Näiden kolmen osan saumaton yhteensopivuus takaa turvallisen työskentelyn korkealla.

Kuinka usein putoamissuojaimet tulee tarkastaa?

Putoamissuojaimet on tarkastettava silmämääräisesti aina ennen jokaista käyttökertaa mahdollisten vaurioiden tai kulumien varalta. Tämän lisäksi laki vaatii, että valtuutettu tarkastaja suorittaa varusteille perusteellisen määräaikaistarkastuksen vähintään kerran vuodessa eli 12 kuukauden välein. Jos varusteet altistuvat poikkeuksellisen kovalle kulutukselle tai kemikaaleille, tarkastusväliä on syytä tihentää turvallisuuden takaamiseksi. Säännöllinen tarkastus varmistaa, että henkilökohtainen putoamissuojaus toimii tositilanteessa suunnitellusti.

Mikä on turvavaljaiden ja putoamisen pysäytysjärjestelmän elinikä?

Useimpien tekstiilipohjaisten putoamissuojaimien, kuten turvavaljaiden ja köysien, maksimikäyttöikä on valmistajasta riippuen tyypillisesti 10 vuotta valmistuspäivämäärästä. Metalliset komponentit voivat kestää pidempään, mikäli ne läpäisevät vuosittaiset tarkastukset. On kuitenkin tärkeää muistaa, että jos varuste on ottanut vastaan yhdenkin putoamisen, se on poistettava käytöstä välittömästi iästä riippumatta. Vaurioituneet suojaimet eivät enää tarjoa luotettavaa turvaa, joten ne on korvattava uusilla.

Miten valitsen oikean kokoiset turvavaljaat?

Oikean koon valinta on kriittistä sekä mukavuuden että turvallisuuden kannalta, ja useimmat turvavaljaat ovat säädettäviä sopimaan eri kokoisille käyttäjille. Valjaiden tulee istua napakasti, mutta ne eivät saa rajoittaa normaaleja liikeratoja tai puristaa liikaa. Reisilenkkien ja rintakehän hihnojen säätövarat tulee hyödyntää siten, että kämmen mahtuu juuri ja juuri hihnan ja vartalon väliin. Tarkista aina valmistajan kokotaulukko varmistaaksesi sopivuuden painosi ja pituutesi mukaan, sillä oikein säädetyt valjaat jakavat putoamisvoiman keholle turvallisesti.

Milloin tulisi käyttää kelautuvaa tarrainta tavallisen liitosköyden sijaan?

Kelautuvat tarraimet ovat erinomainen valinta silloin, kun työskentelyalueella liikutaan paljon pystysuunnassa tai kun tarvitaan liikkumisvapautta ilman roikkuvia köysiä. Ne toimivat kuten auton turvavyö ja lukittuvat nopeasti putoamistilanteessa, mikä lyhentää putoamismatkaa merkittävästi verrattuna tavalliseen liitosköyteen. Tämä on erityisen tärkeää matalissa työkorkeuksissa, joissa tilaa putoamisen pysäyttämiseen on vähän. Oikein valitut putoamisen pysäytysjärjestelmät parantavat työtehoa ja ergonomiaa.

Miten putoamissuojaimia säilytetään ja huolletaan oikein?

Säilytä putoamissuojaimet kuivassa, viileässä ja hyvin ilmastoidussa tilassa suojassa suoralta auringonvalolta ja UV-säteilyltä. Varusteet tulee pitää erillään terävistä esineistä, öljyistä, hapoista ja muista kemikaaleista, jotka voivat haurastuttaa materiaaleja. Puhdista likaantuneet tekstiiliosat miedolla saippuavedellä ja anna niiden kuivua luonnollisesti huoneenlämmössä, älä koskaan käytä kuivausrumpua tai suoraa lämmönlähdettä.
