The Protekt AT403_KIT is a hinged stainless steel anchor point for connecting a personal fall protection system. The grey anchor point is designed for one user and for installation on load-bearing timber structures, including timber beams and roof rafters at the ridge of a pitched roof. The package includes 4 x 70 mm screws for installation on timber.

Applications
The AT403_KIT is suitable for fall protection systems installed on pitched timber roofs, roof trusses, timber beams and other load-bearing timber structures. Its two-plate hinged construction adapts to the roof ridge and allows the mounting plates to be fastened on both sides of the timber structure.
Typical applications include construction, renovation and roof maintenance work requiring a fixed anchor point for one user. The suitability of the mounting substrate and the complete fall protection system must be verified before installation.
Safety and compliance
The Protekt AT403_KIT meets the requirements of EN 795:2012 Type A. The anchor point is designed for a maximum of one user. The load-bearing timber structure must have a minimum static strength of 12 kN, and the timber beam must measure at least 70 x 70 mm.
One device suitable for horizontal operation and complying with EN 353-2, EN 358 or EN 360 may be connected to the anchor point in accordance with the instructions for the connected device. Installation, use and inspections must follow the manufacturer's instructions.
The product is not intended for lifting loads, protecting multiple users simultaneously, or installation on concrete or steel structures. The risk of falling over an edge, required clearance and rescue arrangements must be assessed before use.

Service life and inspections
The anchor point may be used for five years from the date of first use. After this period, a factory inspection must be carried out by the manufacturer or an authorised party. The device must also be inspected at the intervals specified in the manufacturer's instructions. An anchor point that has been involved in arresting a fall must be removed from service.
