Protekt AT060 Anchor Device for Door and Window Openings – Non-Invasive Installation
Protekt AT060 is a portable and reusable anchor device designed for use in door and window openings. It provides a temporary anchorage point for personal fall protection equipment without drilling, permanent fixing, or damaging finished surfaces.
The AT060 is installed by securing the adjustable beam inside a structurally sound opening. It is suitable for construction, renovation, maintenance, and cleaning work where a temporary anchor point is required and permanent anchoring is not available or not desired.
General Information
The AT060 anchor beam is installed horizontally in a load-bearing door or window opening. The device is used as an anchorage point for personal fall protection systems. Its main advantage is fast, non-invasive installation in locations where drilling or permanent fixing is not possible.
The suitability of the device must always be assessed based on the width of the opening, the strength of the surrounding structure, the selected fall protection system, and the required free clearance below the working level.
Suitable Applications
- Window cleaning and maintenance work
- Final cleaning in construction projects
- Building, installation, and renovation work
- Facade-related work near door or window openings
- Temporary anchoring in locations where permanent anchor points are not available
- Worksites where finished surfaces must not be drilled or damaged
Key Features
- Non-invasive installation without drilling
- Designed for door and window openings
- Adjustable width range for different opening sizes
- Portable and easy to move between work areas
- Reusable temporary anchorage solution
- Suitable for use by up to two persons according to the manufacturer's instructions
- Galvanised steel construction for demanding worksite use
Installation and Use
The AT060 must be installed horizontally in a stable door or window opening. The anchor beam must rest on the lower part of the opening, such as the floor, window sill, or base of the opening. Vertical installation is not permitted.
The fastening plate is positioned against one side of the opening, and the adjustment plate is tightened against the opposite side using the adjustment screw. Both plates must fit firmly against the surfaces of the opening to prevent accidental disconnection during use.
The anchorage eye bolts must face the working area. Personal fall protection equipment is connected to the anchorage eye bolt of the AT060. Before use, the user must verify that the device is correctly installed, firmly tightened, and compatible with the rest of the fall protection system.

Compatibility with Fall Protection Systems
The AT060 is intended for use as part of a personal fall protection system. It may be used with compatible equipment such as full body harnesses, connectors, energy-absorbing lanyards, guided type fall arresters, retractable fall arresters, and rescue equipment, provided that all components are suitable for the intended application and comply with applicable standards.
When used in a fall arrest system, the system must include an energy-absorbing component that limits the arrest force acting on the user to a maximum of 6 kN. A full body harness conforming to EN 361 is the only acceptable body holding device for fall arrest use.
The required free clearance below the working level must always be checked before use. The free clearance depends on the selected fall protection equipment and must be calculated according to the equipment manufacturer's instructions, including an additional safety margin.
Important Use Restrictions
- The device must only be installed horizontally.
- The device must not be installed vertically.
- The anchor beam must be supported by the floor, window sill, or lower part of the opening.
- The device must only be used in a structurally sound opening.
- The surrounding structure must be strong enough to withstand the loads generated during use.
- The device must not be used for lifting or lowering loads.
- The device must not be used outside its intended purpose.
- No modifications or additions may be made without the manufacturer's prior written approval.
- The equipment must be withdrawn from use if it has arrested a fall, fails inspection, or if there is any doubt about its safe condition.
Pre-Use Inspection
Before each use, the AT060 must be visually inspected by the user. The inspection must confirm that the anchor beam is correctly positioned, firmly tightened inside the opening, and free from defects that could affect safe operation.
The user must check the main beam, anchorage eye bolts, adjustment mechanism, fastening plates, safety pin, and tightening components. The device must not be used if cracks, dents, deformation, corrosion, excessive wear, loose parts, missing parts, or any other defects are detected.
Periodic Inspection and Lifetime
The AT060 must undergo a periodic inspection at least once every 12 months. The inspection must be carried out by a competent person responsible for periodic inspections of protective equipment, or by the manufacturer or an authorised representative.
The maximum lifetime of the AT060 is not fixed. It depends on the intensity of use, working environment, exposure to moisture, sharp edges, extreme temperatures, aggressive substances, corrosion, and other factors that may affect the equipment's condition. In demanding environments, the device may need to be withdrawn from use after a shorter period, or even after a single use.
Why Choose the Protekt AT060?
The Protekt AT060 is a practical solution for worksites where a temporary anchor point is required without damaging finished surfaces. It is especially useful in construction projects nearing completion, renovation sites, and maintenance tasks where drilling is not permitted or not desirable.
Its adjustable structure allows one device to be used in various door and window openings, making it a flexible choice for contractors, cleaners, maintenance personnel, and installers who need a portable anchorage point for personal fall protection.
Typical Customer Use Case
The AT060 is suitable, for example, for window cleaning during final cleaning in apartment building projects, provided that the door or window opening is structurally sound, the device can be installed horizontally, and the fall protection system used with the device is compatible and correctly selected.
Before use, the site-specific conditions must always be assessed. This includes checking the opening width, structural strength, installation position, available fall clearance, user training, and rescue arrangements.
