Webbing Sling Connector for fall protection
The Webbing Sling Connector is a 200 cm polyester anchor strap designed to connect a single-user fall protection system to a suitable structural anchor point. Its flexible construction allows it to be installed around structures such as steel beams when a portable anchoring solution is required.

Applications
The Protekt AZ900 Webbing Sling Connector can be used as a portable Type B anchor device in accordance with EN 795. It is placed around a structurally suitable anchor point, after which a compatible fall arrest device can be attached using a locking oval connector complying with EN 362.
Compatible equipment can include an energy-absorbing lanyard, guided-type fall arrester or retractable fall arrester. The 200 cm version is primarily suited to anchoring applications. If the Webbing Sling Connector is used as an EN 354 lanyard with an energy absorber, the total length of the complete subsystem, including the absorber, connectors and terminations, must not exceed 2 metres.
Safety and compliance
The Webbing Sling Connector is intended for single-user personal fall protection and must not be used for lifting. It must not be used on its own to arrest a fall without an energy absorber. When an energy absorber is required, it must limit the maximum force exerted on the user during fall arrest to 6 kN.
The structural anchor point must be positioned above the work area and shaped to prevent accidental disconnection. When used as an anchor device, the sling connector may only be loaded vertically. Do not install it around thin or sharp-edged anchor points or use it where the webbing could be loaded over a sharp edge during a fall.
Only locking connectors complying with EN 362 may be used. The suitability of the anchor point, compatibility of the system components and required clearance beneath the user must be assessed before use.
