Protekt AT403 is a timber-mounted anchorage point for connecting fall protection equipment to load-bearing timber structures, including timber beams, roof structures and glulam beams. The product is intended for single-user fall protection applications requiring compliance with EN 795:2012 (Personal fall protection equipment. Anchor devices).
General information
AT403 is a Type A anchor device fixed to a load-bearing wooden structure with nails or wood screws. Its main functional benefit is manufacturer-defined installation on timber substrates.
The product is suitable for applications where the fixing substrate is a wooden beam with a minimum size of 70 x 70 mm and the structure meets the required static strength.

Installation on concrete or steel
AT403 is not intended for installation on concrete or steel according to the manufacturer’s installation instructions. The specified installation substrate is a wooden beam.
For concrete or steel structures, an anchorage point specifically approved by the manufacturer for that substrate must be selected.
Advantages and differences compared to similar products
- Designed for timber installation, unlike Type A anchor points intended for concrete or steel fixing.
- Suitable for load-bearing timber structures such as sawn timber, roof structures and glulam beams when the requirements are met.
- Can be fixed with nails or wood screws using the fastener quantities specified by the manufacturer.
- Single-user design for personal fall protection systems.
Applications
Protekt AT403 is suitable for fall protection installations on wooden roofs, timber beams, rafters, sawn timber and glulam beams where a fixed anchorage point is required for one user.
The product is not intended for lifting loads, multi-user systems, or installation on concrete or steel according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Edge-fall risk and rescue procedures must be assessed before use.
