ZARGES Salvex is a lightweight and easy-to-use full-body harness for professional fall protection. Its two-colour construction makes the harness intuitive to put on: the upper webbing is blue and the lower section black. Automatic buckles and multiple adjustment points allow fast fitting and help achieve a secure and comfortable fit.
The key feature of Salvex is the Chair in the Air system integrated directly into the harness. Following a fall, the user can quickly deploy the system to create support for the legs and achieve a more secure suspended position while awaiting rescue.
After a fall has been arrested, the user may remain suspended in the harness while waiting for rescue. The Chair in the Air system is integrated directly into the Salvex harness and allows the user to create support for the legs after a fall. According to the manufacturer, even an inexperienced user can achieve a more secure suspended position in approximately five seconds.
Because the system is permanently integrated into the harness, there is no separate suspension-relief strap that the user has to remember to carry or attach before starting work.
Salvex is designed for straightforward everyday use. The blue upper section and black lower section make the orientation of the harness easy to recognise. Automatic buckles speed up fitting and removal, while multiple adjustment points allow the harness to be adapted to the user and different layers of workwear.
The sternal fall-arrest attachment point is made from polyester. Its textile construction keeps the front of the harness lightweight and reduces the amount of rigid hardware around the chest. The dorsal fall-arrest attachment point is made from lightweight and durable aluminium.
A fall indicator is located below the dorsal attachment point. If the harness is subjected to a load exceeding 6 kN, the indicator tears and reveals a WARNING Fall Indicator marking. A harness showing this indication must be withdrawn from service and submitted for appropriate inspection.
WebAlert helps make damage to the harness webbing easier to detect. Together, these features help users and inspectors identify situations where the condition of the harness must be assessed before further use.
Salvex is equipped with an NFC tag and Smart Check functionality for digital identification and access to safety-related information. This is particularly useful for companies managing multiple items of personal fall-protection equipment and maintaining systematic inspection records.
ZARGES Salvex is suitable for construction, industrial maintenance, installation work, scaffolding, roofing and other work-at-height applications requiring an EN 361 full-body harness as part of a fall-arrest system.
The harness must be inspected before every use. Particular attention must be paid to the webbing, stitching, buckles, attachment points, adjustment components, WebAlert markings and fall indicator.
If the fall indicator has been activated, the harness has arrested a fall, or there is any doubt about its safety, the harness must be withdrawn from service and inspected before any possible further use.
The product complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on personal protective equipment.
