Sievi Spike 3 SB studded safety boot

Sievi Spike 3 SB – studded safety boots for ice and slippery work areas

Sievi Spike 3 SB is a warm studded safety boot for work involving ice, snow and changing indoor and outdoor surfaces. Its integrated Sievi Spike® mechanism allows the studs to be extended for slippery ice and retracted into the sole when moving indoors.

The stud mechanism is operated using a key positioned near the heel. Turning the key extends or retracts the studs without removing the boot. For anyone looking for safety footwear with a switch or lever for retracting studs into the sole, the mechanical turning key provides the required function.

Key features

• Sievi Spike® retractable studs for ice, snow and slippery outdoor surfaces
• Studs can be extended or turned back into the sole

Applications

Sievi Spike 3 is suitable for workers maintaining and freezing municipal ice rinks and outdoor skating areas, refuse truck drivers, property maintenance teams, service technicians, construction site personnel and other professionals working on slippery ice or snow-covered surfaces. Retractable studs are particularly useful when the workday involves moving between outdoor ice and hard indoor floors.

Safety and compliance

The safety footwear complies with EN ISO 20345:2022+A1:2024 and carries the classification SB P A SC FO CI AN. It features a steel toe cap and a steel penetration-resistant insert providing protection in accordance with the applicable standard.

The extended studs help improve grip on ice but do not eliminate the risk of slipping. Studs may create sparks when striking hard surfaces such as concrete or rock. Suitability for a particular task should be determined through the workplace risk assessment and working conditions.
