Sievi Hiker Roller XL+ S3 is a warm safety ankle boot with a wide XL fit for demanding work and varying temperatures. The aluminium toe cap, steel penetration-resistant midsole and tested ankle protection help protect the foot during the working day. The Sievi TractionPro® rubber friction sole provides reliable grip, while the side-mounted BOA® Fit System enables quick and precise adjustment.

The FlexEnergy® element absorbs kinetic energy and returns more than 55 percent of it to each step. A warm lining, Thermo Alu insole and cold-insulating sole construction support comfort in cool working environments. The water-repellent upper is made from microfibre and PU-coated leather.

Standards explained

• S3: the safety footwear includes a protective toe cap, antistatic properties, heel energy absorption, a water-repellent upper, penetration resistance and a cleated outsole.
• SR: slip resistance has been tested on a ceramic tile surface with glycerol.
• SC: the abrasion resistance of the toe area has been tested.
• FO: the outsole resists fuel oil in accordance with the standard.
• CI: the sole construction provides cold insulation as defined by the standard test.
• HI: the sole construction provides heat insulation as defined by the standard test.
• AN: protection around the ankle has been tested according to the standard.
• HRO: the outsole has been tested for resistance to hot contact.

Limitations

A water-repellent upper does not make the boot fully waterproof, so the product should not be recommended for continuous wet use without a separate suitability assessment. The FO marking refers to the fuel-oil resistance of the outsole and does not demonstrate chemical resistance of the entire boot. Suitability for welding, forestry chainsaw work, specialised chemical environments or protection against electric shock must be verified separately.
