ProBelt V35EC Elastic Safety Harness

The ProBelt V35EC Elastic is an EN 361:2002 full-body safety harness for scaffold erection and other mobile work-at-height applications. Its elastic shoulder straps adapt to the user’s movements, while automatic quick-release buckles make the harness easier to put on. The maximum combined weight of the user, tools and equipment is 140 kg under the conditions specified in the user manual.

Applications

The safety harness is suitable for scaffold erection, construction sites, industrial maintenance and other work-at-height applications involving frequent movement. It is intended for use as part of a compatible fall arrest system.

Safety and compliance

The ProBelt V35EC Elastic is a CE-marked full-body harness compliant with EN 361:2002. It meets the requirements of the EU Personal Protective Equipment Regulation 2016/425. A fall arrest system may only be connected to attachment points marked with a capital letter A.

When using the front attachment, both textile loops marked with half of the letter A must be joined to the same connector. A fall arrest system must not be connected to only one front loop. The length of the dorsal extension strap must be included when calculating the required fall clearance, and the strap must not be used over a sharp edge.

The 140 kg maximum rated load includes the user, tools and equipment. This load is permitted only when the harness is used with an energy absorber suitable for a 140 kg maximum load, as specified in the user manual.

Inspection and service life

The webbing, stitching, buckles, adjustment components and attachment points must be checked before every use. A detailed periodic inspection must be completed at least every 12 months by a competent person and recorded on the product identity card. The harness must be withdrawn from use immediately if it has arrested a fall, fails an inspection or there is any doubt about its condition. Its maximum lifespan is 10 years from the date of manufacture, although usage intensity and environmental conditions may shorten it.
