The dorsal D-ring is used to connect a fall-arrest system. The harness also includes a 40 cm dorsal extension strap to make connection easier.

Inspection and service life
The harness must be inspected before every use. Particular attention must be paid to the webbing, stitching, buckles, attachment points and adjustment components.
A periodic inspection must be carried out at least once every 12 months by an authorised or competent person. The inspection results must be recorded in the equipment inspection record.
If the harness has arrested a fall, is damaged or there is any doubt about its safety, it must be withdrawn from service immediately.
