Safetop MAXIROLL 6 m is a retractable steel cable fall arrester (PPE) designed for fall protection systems. The device is tested for both horizontal and vertical use and is suitable for construction sites, industrial maintenance, steel structures, telecommunications work, and scaffolding, where the user moves between working positions and requires continuous fall protection.
Safetop MAXIROLL retractable cable fall arrester 6 m – horizontal and vertical use.
The purpose of the retractable fall arrester is to stop a fall and allow controlled movement within a working range of up to 6 meters. The cable automatically retracts into the housing and remains under light tension as the user moves. In the event of a fall, the internal locking and braking mechanism engages immediately to stop the descent.
The device is structurally designed to withstand the additional stresses associated with horizontal use. Typically, retractable devices intended for vertical use are equipped with approximately 4.0 mm cable, whereas models suitable for horizontal use utilize a stronger ~4.8 mm steel cable for improved resistance to mechanical stress and wear.
When planning a fall protection system, sufficient clearance distance and adequate anchor point strength must always be ensured.
Suitable for construction, industrial maintenance, roofing, telecommunications, and steel structure work where the user moves between positions. The device is used as part of a PPE fall protection system together with EN 361 full body harnesses and EN 362 connectors.
The device is not approved for sharp edge use (sharp edge rated). It must not be used in situations where the cable may be loaded over sharp edges without additional edge protection or other approved solutions.
The service life of the Safetop Maxiroll retractable fall arrester is not fixed to a specific number of years. It depends on usage conditions, load, storage, and inspections.
