The Probelt RUP 503-B is a manually operated rescue lifting device designed for installation on a TM7 safety tripod. It enables a person weighing up to 200 kg to be raised from a lower level or lowered in a controlled manner from a higher level. This version is equipped with a 25-metre galvanised steel cable.

Applications

The RUP 503-B is intended as a component of a planned rescue system for work in wells, tanks, shafts and other confined spaces. The B-version mounting bracket is designed for installation on the leg of a Protekt TM7 safety tripod.

Safety and compliance

The rescue lifting device meets the requirements of EN 1496:2006 Class B. Its maximum working load is 200 kg, and the permitted lowering distance is limited to two metres.

The RUP 503-B is intended exclusively for rescue operations. It must not be used for lifting materials or other loads, and it does not function as a standalone fall arrest device. Where a fall hazard exists, a separate compatible fall arrest system conforming to EN 363 must be used.

The winch must be inspected before every use. According to the manufacturer’s instructions, it must be withdrawn from service for a detailed periodic inspection every 12 months. This inspection may only be carried out by the manufacturer or an authorised service provider.
