Dedicated attachment points for different functions
The dorsal D-ring and frontal attachment loops are intended for connecting the harness to a fall-arrest system. The two frontal loops must be connected together as specified in the manufacturer's instructions. The lateral D-rings on the waist belt are intended for work positioning, while the frontal sit-harness loops are designed for rope access and suspended work.
Padded construction and automatic buckles
The padded waist belt and leg loops distribute the load while the user is working in suspension. Automatic buckles make the harness quicker to put on and easier to adjust when worn with different workwear. The adjustment points allow the harness to be fitted to the user's body within the selected size range.
Applications
Probelt V86 Rope is suitable for professional rope access, work positioning and use as part of a fall-protection system in industrial maintenance, construction and other work-at-height applications. All connected fall-protection equipment must be mutually compatible and suitable for the intended application.
Safety and compliance
Only the full-body harness attachment points marked with the letter A may be used for fall arrest. The lateral work-positioning D-rings and sit-harness attachment loops must not be used to arrest a fall.
When the harness is used at its maximum rated load of 140 kg as part of a fall-arrest system, the system must include an energy absorber suitable for the same load. The harness must be checked before every use and periodically inspected by a competent person at least once every 12 months. Its stated maximum service life is 10 years from the date of manufacture, although working conditions, wear, damage or arresting a fall may require earlier withdrawal from use.
