This padded work-positioning harness is designed for professionals who require fall protection and support for maintaining a controlled working position at height. Probelt V57 combines a full-body harness with a supportive work-positioning belt. Padding on the shoulder, waist and thigh straps helps distribute pressure, while automatic buckles make the harness efficient to put on and adjust.
The padded shoulder straps, wide waist belt and padded thigh straps help distribute the pressure created by the harness. The construction supports the user during work positioning and improves comfort in tasks where the harness is worn for extended periods. Multiple adjustment points allow the harness to be fitted to the user's body and worn over different layers of workwear.
Automatic connecting and adjustment buckles make the harness efficient to put on and remove. The automatic chest buckle and adjustable shoulder, waist and thigh straps make it easier to achieve a suitable fit. Plastic webbing retainers help keep the loose strap ends under control.
The dorsal D-ring and frontal A/2 loops are intended for connecting a fall-arrest system. The two frontal loops must be used together in accordance with the user instructions. A compatible work-positioning device or lanyard can be connected to the lateral D-rings on the waist belt.
Probelt V57 is suitable for work positioning and use as part of a fall-protection system in construction, industrial maintenance, installation work, and pole, tower or structural work. According to the product card, the harness is also suitable for explosion-hazard zones. No separate ATEX classification is specified, so suitability must be confirmed against the workplace risk assessment and the requirements of the relevant hazardous area.
A fall-arrest system may only be connected to attachment points marked A or A/2. The lateral D-rings on the work-positioning belt must not be used to arrest a fall. Work-positioning equipment does not replace a separate fall-arrest system where a fall hazard exists.
The harness must be checked before every use. A competent person must carry out a periodic inspection at least once every 12 months, and demanding working conditions may require more frequent inspections. A harness that has arrested a fall, is damaged or fails an inspection must be withdrawn from use. The stated maximum service life is 10 years from the date of manufacture, although working conditions, wear and damage may shorten its usable life.
