ProBelt V-40X lightweight safety harness with automatic buckles

ProBelt V-40X is a lightweight and easily adjustable full-body harness for professional fall protection. Its straightforward construction makes it a practical choice for everyday work at height where front and rear fall-arrest attachment points and fast automatic buckles are required.

The harness is comparable in application to basic ProBelt V37 and P32 type harnesses, while the V-40X focuses on low-complexity construction and fast adjustment. The 45 mm polyester webbing is combined with padded shoulder and thigh straps for improved wearing comfort.

Fast fitting and adjustment

Automatic connecting and adjustment buckles make the harness quick to put on and remove. Adjustable shoulder, chest and leg straps allow the harness to be fitted to the user and adapted to different layers of workwear.

The harness should fit snugly without unnecessarily restricting movement. The dorsal attachment point must be positioned between the shoulder blades and the frontal attachment loops should be centred on the lower chest.

Fall-arrest attachment points

A fall-arrest system may be connected to the dorsal A-marked attachment point or to the frontal A/2 attachment loops. Both frontal A/2 loops must always be connected together. Connecting a fall-arrest system to only one A/2 loop is prohibited.

ProBelt V-40X is suitable for construction, industrial maintenance, installation work, scaffolding, elevated work platforms and other work-at-height applications requiring an EN 361 full-body harness as part of a fall-arrest system.

Inspection and service life

The harness must be inspected before every use. Particular attention must be paid to the webbing, stitching, buckles, adjustment components, attachment points and fall indicators.

A competent person must carry out a periodic inspection at least once every 12 months from the date of first use. More frequent inspections may be required depending on working conditions and intensity of use.

The maximum service life of the harness is 10 years from the date of manufacture. A harness that has arrested a fall, is damaged or fails inspection must be withdrawn from service immediately.
