Waterproof HW-TEX Membrane

The HW-TEX membrane helps keep feet dry in rain, snow and wet working environments. It prevents external water from entering the boot while allowing moisture vapour to escape.

The S7S classification includes the WR requirement for whole-footwear water resistance, making Storm PRO suitable for wet outdoor work.

3M Thinsulate™ and CI Cold Insulation

3M Thinsulate™ 200 g/m² insulation helps retain warmth in cold working conditions. The insulated lining makes Storm PRO suitable for outdoor work during autumn and winter.

CI cold insulation is a tested property under the EN ISO 20345 safety footwear standard. It indicates cold insulation of the sole construction and complements the thermal protection provided by the Thinsulate lining. The CI marking does not specify a particular minimum operating temperature.

SpinOn Roller Quick-Fit System – Important Fastening Information

The SpinOn Roller quick-fit system allows convenient tightening and release using a rotary dial without traditional shoelace tying.

Important fitting information: Due to the high-cut construction, the laces may need to be tightened manually around the ankle before using the Roller dial. The Roller mechanism does not effectively pull the laces over longer distances, particularly beyond approximately two lace-loop intervals.

For the best fit, first position and pre-tighten the laces manually around the ankle. Then use the SpinOn rotary dial for final tightening and adjustment.

The SpinOn fastening system comes with a 3-year warranty as stated by the supplier.

High-Cut Shaft, Wide Fit and Comfort

Storm PRO features a high-cut construction extending above the ankle and covering the lower part of the leg. The higher shaft provides additional coverage against cold, snow and moisture compared with low-cut and mid-cut safety footwear.

Based on user experience, the boot is lightweight and flexible. The wide fit provides room for the foot, while the Memory Foam insole improves everyday comfort. However, the overall fit and ergonomics are not quite comparable to more expensive premium safety footwear.

Grippy Outsole and Durability

The PU/rubber outsole provides traction on various working surfaces. The SR classification confirms tested slip resistance according to the relevant safety footwear standard. The HRO marking indicates resistance to brief contact with hot surfaces.

The outsole is not studded, and SR-rated slip resistance does not guarantee traction on ice. Actual grip depends on the surface and weather conditions.

The 1.6–1.8 mm full-grain leather upper and reinforced rubber toe guard improve resistance to everyday abrasion.
