Bollé Silium+ Smoke safety glasses for bright outdoor conditions
Bollé Silium+ Smoke safety glasses combine an extremely lightweight design with smoke-tinted sun protection for outdoor work. The smoke lens protects against solar radiation and UVA/UVB radiation. Thin, flexible temple arms fit comfortably under earmuffs and safety helmet straps.
Key features
- Smoke-tinted lens for outdoor work in bright sunlight
- Dual-sided PLATINUM coating helps resist fogging and scratching
- Thin, freely flexible temple arms reduce pressure when worn with earmuffs
- Adjustable, non-slip nose bridge provides a secure and comfortable fit
- Optical class 1 polycarbonate lens is suitable for extended continuous wear
- Extremely lightweight construction supports comfort during long shifts
Applications
These safety glasses are suitable for outdoor construction, installation, maintenance and industrial work. The smoke lens is particularly useful in bright sunlight and when working around snow, sand or water. The flat temple design also makes the glasses practical for combined use with earmuffs, multi-point safety helmet straps and similar equipment.
Protection properties
The polycarbonate lens provides protection from UV radiation and low-energy mechanical hazards. The stated mechanical performance is based on a 6 mm, 0.86 g steel ball travelling at 45 m/s. The anti-fog and scratch-resistant performance of the PLATINUM coating exceeds the requirements of the class N and class K test methods.
Important: due to the strong 5-3 shade, these glasses are not recommended for driving.
