AlphaTec™ 53-001 is a long-cuff chemical protective glove featuring a multi-layer MICROCHEM™ barrier made from nitrile and neoprene. Type A chemical protection, ANSELL GRIP™ technology and a soft nylon liner make it a practical choice for demanding chemical handling and work involving wet or oily components.

Safety and compliance

AlphaTec™ 53-001 meets EN ISO 374-1:2016 Type A requirements with chemical code letters ACFGJKLMNOPST and EN ISO 374-5:2016 requirements for protection against microorganisms. Its mechanical protection rating is EN 388:2016 + A1:2018 3121A. The EN 407:2020 rating X1XXXX indicates contact-heat performance level 1; no performance is claimed for the other heat and flame properties covered by the standard. Suitability for a particular chemical must always be confirmed using the relevant permeation data.

The gloves contain vulcanisation accelerators, including zinc diethyldithiocarbamate, N,N'-diphenylthiourea and diphenylguanidine. Users sensitised to these substances may experience irritant or allergic contact reactions.
