AlphaTec™ 38-001 antistatic butyl chemical protective gloves

AlphaTec™ 38-001 is a thin and flexible butyl rubber glove for demanding chemical-handling tasks. Its water-based butyl formulation protects against substances including aldehydes, ketones, solvent esters and concentrated mineral acids. A raised diamond pattern improves handling control in both wet and dry conditions.

Applications

Safety and compliance

AlphaTec™ 38-001 is CE Category III PPE. It meets EN ISO 374-1:2016 + A1:2018 Type A requirements with chemical code letters ABCIKMPST. Its EN ISO 374-5:2016 VIRUS marking indicates protection against microorganisms, including viruses, under the standard test methods. The gloves also comply with EN 16350:2014 and EN 421:2010.

EN 16350-compliant gloves are suitable for use as part of a properly designed electrostatic-protection system in ATEX environments. Suitability and safe-use time for a particular chemical must always be confirmed using the manufacturer's permeation and degradation data.
