Spasciani H900 is an ABEKP-filtered escape hood designed for emergency egress during fire or gas release incidents in industrial environments. This PPE device is intended for short-duration self-rescue only and not for routine work activities.
spasciani escape hood H900
General Information
The escape hood enables controlled evacuation from contaminated areas where ABEK gases and P-class particles (dust/smoke/mist) are present. The primary functional benefit is rapid deployment: hood, visor and filter are integrated into a single unit that can be donned immediately without fit adjustments.
From a procurement and HSE perspective, suitability should be verified against identified target gases, expected concentrations and site-specific requirements (e.g. ATEX classification) to ensure alignment with the risk assessment and PPE policy.
Technical Data

Benefits and Differences Compared to Similar Products
- ATEX suitability: antistatic materials and non-electrical design enable use in classified explosive atmospheres according to marking, whereas some escape devices are limited to non-ATEX environments.
- Deployment concept: integrated hood and half mask reduce donning steps compared to separate half mask and eye protection solutions.
- Filtration scope: ABEKP configuration covers multiple gas groups and particulates, unlike single-class filters with narrower application.
- Placement options: carrying bag supports fixed installation (e.g. wall, vehicle, workstation) in addition to personal carry.
Intended Use
Suitable for industries where emergency evacuation risks are associated with fire smoke or chemical/gas releases (e.g. process industry, chemical plants, energy, waste and water treatment, maintenance operations). The device is intended for short-term escape only and does not replace task-specific PPE systems or protective workwear.
- Not suitable: environments with O2 < 17 %
- No protection against: organic vapours with boiling point < 65 °C; carbon monoxide (CO); nitrogen oxides (NOx)
- Not for: continuous work or prolonged presence in contaminated atmospheres
Where multiple gas scenarios are possible, selection must be based on the site risk assessment and confirmation of filter suitability against identified substances.
