The CAMP Cobra 30 m V+H retractable fall arrester is designed for personal fall protection in demanding work environments such as roofs, construction sites, towers, and industrial facilities. The device is suitable for both vertical and horizontal use and complies with the EN 360 standard. The 30 m model is also edge tested (PPE-R/11.060) for use over sharp edges.
The CAMP Cobra retractable fall arrester has no fixed maximum service life defined in years. Continued use depends on correct operation, storage, environmental conditions, and successful periodic inspections.
Important time limit applies to the energy absorber on steel cable models: according to the manufacturer’s instructions, the energy absorber fitted to the steel cable version must be replaced by an authorized C.A.M.P. service center no later than 12 years after the date of manufacture or 10 years after the date of first use. As part of this authorized service operation, the steel cable is replaced at the same time.
The device must be removed from service immediately after any fall event or if an inspection reveals damage, corrosion, malfunction, or any elongation of the external energy absorber (even partial).
The device must be inspected at least once every 12 months starting from the date of first use. The inspection must be carried out by a competent person, and the results must be documented in the inspection record. Shorter inspection intervals are recommended if the device is used intensively, by multiple users, or in harsh environments.
Note: Under normal conditions, the periodic inspection can be carried out without opening the housing. If any defect or malfunction is detected, the device must be removed from service and sent to an authorized C.A.M.P. service center. Cable replacement, energy absorber replacement, and repairs after a fall are service operations performed exclusively by authorized service centers.
The manufacturer provides a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase, covering material and manufacturing defects. The warranty period does not define the actual service life of the product.
