CAMP Cobra 20 m – Retractable Fall Arrester (V+H)

General Information

C.A.M.P. Cobra is a self-retracting fall arrester designed for personal fall protection. It complies with the requirements of EN 360:2002 and is intended for use in industrial environments, construction sites, and other work performed at height. This model is the Cobra 20 (ref. 3139) equipped with a 20 m steel cable.

Operation

During use the cable automatically retracts into the internal drum of the device and remains constantly tensioned as the user moves. In the event of a fall, the locking mechanism immediately stops the cable. The internal braking system limits the arrest force to below 6 kN.

The device also includes an external textile energy absorber, allowing use over sharp edges. Cobra V+H models are tested according to PPE-R/11.060 Type A requirements (sharp edge radius = 0.5 mm).

Vertical and Horizontal Use

• Vertical use: connected to an anchor point above the user.
• Horizontal use: permitted over sharp edges (Type A edge).
• The steel cable system is particularly suitable for roofing work, industrial structures, and scaffolding.

Inspection and Service Life

• The device must be inspected at least every 12 months by a competent person.
• Inspections must be recorded in the equipment inspection/service record.
• The service life is not fixed provided the device remains undamaged and inspections are performed according to instructions.
• The device must be removed from service if it has arrested a fall or if any damage is detected.

Warranty

The manufacturer provides a warranty covering material and manufacturing defects for 3 years from the date of purchase.
