General information

Self-retracting fall protection device designed to arrest the fall of a single user. The device may be anchored above the user or at foot level (fall factor 2).

The short retractable design reduces fall distance and is suitable for mobile elevating work platforms and scaffolding.

Use and compatibility

• Use only with EN 361 full body harness.
• Anchor device must comply with EN 795.
• Minimum anchor strength: 12 kN.
• The device is intended for a single user.
• Work must be planned to minimize fall risk and fall distance.

Inspection and service life

Pre-use inspection

• The device must be inspected before each use.
• Check the webbing condition, connectors, housing and retraction/locking mechanism.
• The webbing must lock immediately when pulled sharply.
• The device must not be used if any damage or malfunction is detected.

Periodic inspection

• The device must be inspected at least every 12 months.
• The inspection must be carried out by a competent person trained in PPE inspections.
• The inspection may also be carried out by the manufacturer or an authorized service center.
• The inspection record must be documented in the equipment life sheet.

Withdrawal from service

• If cuts or burns are visible on the load-bearing webbing or stitching.
• If the retracting or locking mechanism does not function correctly.
• If the energy absorber has deployed after a fall.
• If the product history or inspection records are unknown.

Maintenance and cleaning

• Clean textile and plastic parts with water and neutral soap (max 30°C).
• Rinse metal parts with clean water and dry.
• Do not use solvents.
• Do not immerse the product in water.
• Repairs may only be carried out by the manufacturer or an authorized service center.

Storage and conditions

• Store in a cool, dry and well ventilated place.
• Protect from chemicals, humidity, heat and sharp edges.
• Do not leave exposed to weather conditions.
• Keep below 80°C.
